How to follow brands in the Meta Ad Library

The Meta Ad Library has no follow button that we found. To keep an eye on a set of brands you search each one again, or you let a tool do it. The free routine first, then the shortcuts.

The manual routine (free)

  1. Search by advertiser. Type the brand and pick its Page from the suggestions. A keyword search also returns other advertisers' ads that use the word.
  2. Bookmark each brand's results. Set the country, active ads and platform first: the address keeps your filters, so one bookmark per brand reopens the same view.
  3. Check on a schedule. Once a week, open each bookmark and look at the start dates on the cards for anything new since your last visit.
  4. Log what is new. A row per ad in one sheet: date, format, hook, angle. An ad still running weeks later is one to study.
  5. Keep the ads you want. Meta shows every ad while it runs. Once an ad stops, only social issue, election and political ads (kept 7 years) and ads delivered in the EU (kept a year after their last impression) stay in the library, so save the creative itself (how to save ads from the Facebook Ad Library).

It adds up with every brand you watch, and an ad that starts and stops between two visits is missed.
